Delhi-Chandigarh-Manali-Keylong-Sarchu- Leh

 
DAY / 1

Departure from Dehli overnight in Chandigrah 7 to 8 hours drive, lunch on the way. If time permits, visit to Rock garden and Sukhna lake. Even the drive in a Hippop Bus is very excited.

 
DAY / 2: Chandigrah to Manali (hight-2000 Meters Distance 310 Km)

Start after breakfast around at 8 AM and evening at Manali. (BLD/hotel)
If time permits one can visit on the way Mahamrituyanjay Temple and Panchvakhatatr Temple in the Mandi. (One of their own kinds in the world).

 
DAY / 3 Local Sight Seen

Manali Local sight seen and acclimatization walk(hadimba Temple, Manu Temple). Manali is named after Manu and at old Manali one can see old and traditional architect of the mountains. Popularly known as Kathkuni. Lunch at Manali town afternoon free for walk and shopping. Walk and drinking lots of water is very important because of high altitude factor in coming days.

Option: Afternoon one can visit Gaytri Temple in Jagatsukh and Rorich Art Gallery in Nagger.

 
DAY / 4: Manali to Keylong (115 Kms)over Rohtang Pass(3959 Meters)

Start morning 8 AM, drive to Rohtang pass; walk for a while for acclimatizatio. One can enjoy panoramic view of Mid Himalaya and Greater himalaya Ranges. Drive along Chandra River till Tandi( the confluence of Chandra and Bhaga River where they meet and form Chinaav River.) Lunch at Keylong. Afternoon visit to Kardang Gompa (BLD/Hotel)

Option: If some one have time can visit of Trilokinath Temple(an exemplary place where Hindu and Buddhist preach together) and Mrikula Devi Temple(known for Remarkable wooden carving) in Chandra Bhaga( Chinaav Valley can be a Good option)

 
DAY / 5: Keylong To Sarchu (4200Meters) Over Barlaacha Pass 107 KMs

A very interesting day where landscape changes and one can feel the majesty of the Himalaya. Before Baralacha the view of Surajtaal (source of Bhaga River), Glaciers and the greater Himalaya is just ossam.

Lunch and rest at Sarchu camp. Exploration of surroundings of camp at Sarchu could be of great interest for summer. BLD/Camp

 
DAY /6: Sarchu to Leh over Lachunglaa, Nakilaa,and Tanglanglaa 222Kms.

Amazing landscape, if lucky one can see Tangrol, Keyangs (fonna, Changpaas, Travel people of Himalayas on the way to Leh City) BLD/Hotel

 
DAY /7

Acclimatizatio walk up to Shanti Satuppa, Ladhakh palace and back to the town afternoon visit Spituk Gompa. BLD/Hotel

 
DAY /8

Visit to Tshey, Thigchey, Hemmis Monasteries. If time permits walk up to Gotsang. These monasteries give a glimpse of Buddhism how it is developed in this region and became the way of life. One can also see the wonderful panoramic view of Indus valley from these Monasteries. BLD/Hotel

 
DAY /9:

Visit to Alchi Likir and Lamayuru Monasteries. (Drive along the Indus River one can also opt for river rafting in the Indus River) BLD Hotel;

 
DAY /10

Drive to Nubra valley over khardunglaa (the highest motorable pass). Overnight at guest house in the Nubra valley.

 
DAY /11

Visit of Nubra Valley and different villages and ride on double hump camel is very interesting.

 
DAY /12

Early in the morning back to Leh.

 
DAY /13

Early morning drive to Pengong Lake and back to Leh in the evening if some one have time can stay overnight in Pangong Lake.

 
DAY /14

Drive to Tsomoriry Lake. Stay Overnight there.

 
DAY /15

Visit to Dah-Hannu two villages to see the ancient Aryans along the Indus Valley civilization.

Option: There are several options for trekking and Mountainering.
